Last Thursday was a proud day for Michelle Buttery (centre), PEI FVPS, Jaime Griffin (left) and Kate Dempsey (right), Women’s Network PEI as they wrapped up the final day of the ‘It’s All About YOUth’ Healthy Relationships program. The 4 year pilot program was funded by Canadian Women’s Foundation and was developed and facilitated by partnering organizations, PEI FVPS and Women’s Network PEI.
‘It’s All About YOUth’ is a 6 week, in-school program, that ran in Montague Intermediate, Gulf Shore Consolidated, Birchwood Intermediate and Athena Consolidated. It was presented to all grade 7 students in each school, in six 1-hour blocks, over 6 weeks, and was written to meet outcomes of the grade 7 Health curriculum.
We are excited to continue sharing this successful program with youth in our communities across the province!
