Summerside Provides Grant to Family Violence Prevention Services

As part of the City of Summerside Community Grant support to local non-profit organizations, East Prince Family Violence Prevention Services received $5,000. The funds will be utilized to provide the year-round front-line programs and services, along with public education to schools, groups and organizations in the area served. The City of Summerside's leadership and support has been an ongoing partnership in this valuable service located in Summerside, which benefits people of all ages, from youth up to seniors, both men and women.

The City of Summerside is recognized along with the City of Charlottetown on the provincial organization (PEIFVPS,Inc.) website www.fvps.ca for its valuable contributions and leadership role in family violence prevention work. East Prince Family Violence Prevention Services has been established in the downtown core of Summerside since 1986.
